Not everyone enjoys iTunes

In the wake of that many stories that surround Apple’s iTunes ( ) music library software and online music store I felt I should point out that not everyone is feeling good about this relatively new way of stopping the “music for free” attitude of that last few years.

iTunes iSbogus (ranther inventive name) has cornered the e-market on hating on iTunes…and surprisingly this doesn’t seem to be created by Microsoft (although Microsoft could be funding their operation, much like SCO’s crusade against Linux)

The site created by the people at Downhill Battle use a spoofed Apple/iTunes site to take shot after shot at almost every aspect of the popular music software and their parent company.

People are paying for songs on the iTunes Music Store because they think it’s a good way to support musicians. But iTunes misses a huge opportunity. Instead of creating a system that gets virtually all of fans’ money directly to artists– finally possible with the internet– iTunes takes a big step backwards. Apple calls iTunes “revolutionary” but record companies are using the service to force the same exploitive and unfair business model onto a new medium.

Editor’s Note: I love iTunes…I use it everyday along with my iPod. I read this in it’s entirety and it has some good points. I’m just saying its worth the read, even though it is pretty long.
