ESPN NFL 2k5′s playoff troubles
Everyone has been singing the praises of ESPN NFL 2k5 in the past few weeks becuase it is a great game with a cheap price tag…however many of those people are now looking to sack the game designers. It turns out that in the last few weeks (or in the playoffs) of the “Franchise Mode” of this game, the game freezes endlessly for no apparent reason.
Posts have started to pop up on ESPN Video Games forums from people with this problem. Some have even called Sega with this complaint, to which Sega of course replied: “Check your disc, there must be a scratch”. However, the people with this problem have no scratches, or any thing wrong with their gaming machines at all…all other games work fine, including NFL 2k5 (when not in franchise mode).
I’m in franchise mode and at the conference championship game and
at the kick-off screen the [***] game freezes. I’ve read that someone
called sega and they told him it could be a corrupt file or memory card,
a dirty lens, or the game is scratched. All of this is [***] , they don’t
want to admit they rushed this game out just to make a quick buck!!!!
What good is having a sports game when you can’t play in franchise mode
or play the two most important games of the season.
I will never buy another game from sega, it’s not worth the frustration
no matter how cheap it is. I guess the old saying is true, YOU GET WHAT
YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!!!
Although several people have this problem, it doesn’t seem to have been quite wide spread yet, possibly becuase many haven’t gotten to the end of their first year of franchise mode yet. Either way, this is an annoying problem that needs to be fixed.
