Another sad day

I guess there must be a little truth in the “celebrities die in threes” theory. First Rodney Dangerfield, now Ken Caminiti and Christopher Reeve.

Ken Caminiti was a good guy, so I hear, and I’m sure we have all heard was a great guy Christopher Reeve was. But both of these deaths are hardly surprising. Caminiti was a big drug user and even admitted to using steroids during his MVP season in 1996. Reeve also seemed to be living on borrowed time.

Both guys will be missed and I especially will miss Reeve. He played my favorite character, in my favorite movies, to absolute perfection. Noone else, out of all the people that have played Superman, has ever done as well as Reeve at making Clark Kent and Superman as different characters as they should be. He was the best.

I wasn't too surprised to hear about Reeves' death, but it does suck that he's dead. He did a lot for research into spinal damage (I would, too, if I broke my neck) and I hope his wife keeps it up like the Reagans have done for stem cell research. I know how much you like Superman, Mike, what do you think of Nicholas Cage playing him in the next movie? Is that even true?

Also, we had your second favorite actor come through Lincoln this week. Seinfeld did two shows here, but it was totally under my radar and I missed them, doh!
