Mac Mini

Apple has released the Mac Mini (1.24 or 1.4 Ghz 40 / 80 GB HD, USB 2 Firewire) Its very small, and comes with no keyboard or mouse or display.

Still no word on whether one can upgrade to a Superdrive (which would make me very happy)

They also just released the iPod Shuffle and iWork.

Good work Thinksecret.

More on this later.

  • iWork is the new version of Apple Works, to put it simply. Its a Apple version of a word processor. Although some say it a shot accross the bow of Microsoft Office, I think it is more like Pagemaker. It focuses more on style than Office does, so I really don't see it as a threat.

And thanks for the heads up Mark. I priced one of these mac minis out and it comes to a little under $800 for what I'm looking for. Thats still a chunck of change, but much more attainable than the 1400+ iMac. I want one, but I'll wait untill some people get their hands on them and take them apart.

I just wish I could add RAM on my own!
