Recieve 802.11b from 12 miles away, only 25% signal loss
Receive 802.11b from 12 miles away with only 25% signal loss. “Not Possible!” you say. I say: “I’ve done it”.
What you need: (most of these links are for example, not necessarlly the products I used)
1) An access point with a built-in type-N connector
2) A client with a built-in type-N connector. I used SmartBridge products for the AP and Client.
3) Two 24dBi 2.4Ghz grid antennas
4) Access to two radio towers, preferably each with a height of 125ft or more.
5) The guts to climb the aforementioned towers in (4).
And that’s it! Super-Easy.
