Google Maps Pedometer
July 6th, 2005 | by Mike |Now that the Google Maps API is out the flood of different scripts and usages for Google Maps will comming flooding in! Here is the first of many: “The Google Maps Pedometer”
A simple function, but it works great. You just click the record button and then mark with points the path that you want to track and the script calculates the distance. This is great for me because when the “gym” at my apartments is busy I just run outside and although I was pretty sure the loop I was running was a quarter of a mile (like a actual track) I wasn’t 100%. Now I am…its .267 miles to be exact.
