I Guess Its “Blog Day”

Happy “Blog Day” everyone! What is “Blog Day”? Well I’m stoked (thats right, I’m trying to bring back “stoked”) that you asked because I have no idea either. Maybe a well-placed quote that will fill out this post and require very little effort on my part will clarify the situation!

For one long moment on August 31st, bloggers from all over the world will post recommendations of 5 new Blogs, preferably Blogs that are different from their own culture, point of view and attitude. On this day, blog surfers will find themselves leaping around and discovering new, unknown Blogs, celebrating the discovery of new people and new bloggers.

Ok, great. Thats Blog Day. According to the site, if you run a blog, or if you run a site that everyone just calls a blog, then you should do the following:
1. Think of 5 different blogs that you like.
2. Tell the authors of those blogs that you like them
3. List and describe each of your chosen blogs.
4. Do some other stuff like linking and tagging…

Last self-imposed question: How did I find out about “Blog Day”?
Damn, thats a good question…I’m so happy you asked. The reason I found out about Blog Day is that Ran Aroussi chose Hell Yeah Bitch! .com (Thats the one you are reading now) as one of his 5 sites to feature. Very cool. That brings some real warmth to our profanity-laiden site-titling hearts. Seriously though, we did think that getting chosen by someone out there is very cool, even thought I almost mistakenly deleted the email he sent me as SPAM. Thanks Ran!

I guess this means I have to “Pay It Forward”, so here are my pics for 5 good blogs:

1. socialitelife.com: A gossip blog. Good writing, great pictures, and no one loves Whitney and Bobby more!
2. The Unofficial Apple Weblog: I’ve talked about this one before, but its getting to be THE place to go to quench your slightly insane Apple news thirst.
3. “What Would Tyler Durden Do?” is a fairly new site from and its just a fun blog. Kind of a cross between The Superficial and Perez
4. And All That Malarkey is a wonderful site for all you burgeoning web designers. Always worth a look to see if there is anything new going on.
5. Last but not least is CityRag. Now I’ve talked about this one before too, but I thought I would mention it again simply because there is always something interesting going on there.

Ok, there’s my list. I have officially participated. I’m not sure if Dan (or Joe) would be inclined to leave a list up here of their own in a different post, because I make no claim that this be The List from Hell Yeah Bitch! .com. Either way, here are a few blogs for you to chew on, and if you would have any to add please share in the comments.
