OSX Update Broke my Bluetooth

Broken BluetoothThere was a flurry of OS X updates today, including updates for bluetooth. After the required restart OSX wanted to update the firmware on the bluetooth (click for a full-size photo). All it would do is cycle between searching for a bluetooth device, and then preparing to upgrade it. It gave up after 4-5 tries and now my bluetooth is not functional.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

  • Wow, that sucks. I just did all the updates on my iMac last night, and this didn't happen to me. I think my iMac has Bluetooth 2.0 though....

Either way, I'm not sure what you can do, but I do know that you are probably not the only one and I'm sure we will see a bluetooth update soon to fix that. (I guess I won't be updating my iBook until then.)

That really sucks balls in the meantime though.
