See The New Hype Machine Page With Help From 9,999 Friends

Very cool idea from the guys at The Hype Machine:  They won’t reveal their new site until they get at least 10,000 looking at their page at one time.

Come hang out and wait for the unveiling! 

Seriously, this is an awesome idea…unless no one gives a crap and shows up.  Eh, they’re probably going to be fine.  Worse case you can just fake it right?

    Yeah, I’ll admit thats a major problem with this. It is a cool idea, but more in the “I’ve never even thought about that” cool than a “can’t fail idea” cool.

    So far, it appears most agree with you. I’ve been checking it, and I’ve never seen it crack 3,500.

    Unless it gets slash dotted tomorrow morning, they’ll end up faking it to save face.
