My Big Giant Work Site Launched
I’m free. Well, kind of. The monkey of “we need to launch” is off my back, but there is still lots of work to be done, and yet another blog to update.
The whole point of posting this, is just to say, I hope to pick up the pace a little bit here at Hell Yeah Bitch! HQ and try to get some new d*** joke filled posts out the door. I know you are excited.
Movable Type’s Action Stream
Last night, I tried to get Movable Type’s fancy new Action Stream plugin to work. The idea is to have a nice list that give you, the sick perv that has to know everything I do in my life, a nice easy to read list of my every action on the Information Superhighway (What ever happened to people calling the web that anyway?). If it worked, it would be a super version of my Twitter Posts that show up on here, since they would also include posts I have “Dugg” or Flickr photos, and all kinds of other trendy web s***
. That being said…
It didn’t work.
I installed it just fine, and the plugin runs, but it won’t create the select pulldown the give me my choices of “providers” to add to my action list. Its kind of an important part. Not “d*** ” important, but at least like “right hand” important.
Either way, I wouldn’t want it if I couldn’t get the action stream to blend in with my posts, and ideally aggregate itself if in a daily journal-like post like my Twitter plugin does now.
All this complaining about pre-built blogging platforms from a man that his written 2 different custom blogging platforms in the last year.
