Matt Damon to do Fourth Bourne Film!

According to Varety, Matt Damon has gone against his word and signed on for a fourth movie in the Jason Bourne franchise. Normally, any sentence that includes “fourth” and “movie” that comes from me would end with “…so long story short, I’m thinking of moving to Canada.” but this is different. This is Bourne!

I’m a huge fan of the “Bourne Identity” series of movies, and before I saw the last one I said “I hope Matt Damon and the movie studio are smart enough to stop after this one and walk away before they turn to crap,” but after I saw the “Bourne Ultimatum” my views quickly changed to “More please!” The Bourne movies are so great, so beautifully simple, but yet amazingly engulfing, I couldn’t just have three, I needed one more. Think I’m just a crazed fan? Well even Richard Roeper agrees with me. ( Click here to see his 2007 review of the film and wait until the end when he asks for more too! )

So what’s the lesson learned from all of this? Well when you want them to make another of your favorite movies really really bad, the trick is to squeeze your eyes really tight, hope with all your hope, and send lots and lots of letters to the star, written in your favorite color of crayon ( “Passion Purple” of course! ) along with pictures of you begging the camera while wearing a thong and include a locket of your own hair.

Clearly this works. Who’s crazy now Mom!?
