Good article by Bob Nightengale on how the Cardinals are handling losing a teammate and close friend.
Josh Hancock: 1978 – 2007

Right handed relief pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals died early this morning after a traffic accident on Highway 40 not more than a few miles from my apartment. He will be missed as a solid go-to reliever, a nice guy and because he had the word “cock” in his name.
Damn. This sucks.

Anna Nicole Smith found dead and ugly

Trimspa baby!
According to CNN.com:
Reality TV star and former model Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead Thursday after being taken to a Florida hospital after being found unconscious in her hotel room, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the case told CNN.
Smith, 39, collapsed at a south Florida hotel and was taken to a local hospital, according to news reports.
Time to play a little Carnac the Magnificent: “Methadone, Oxycoton, and TrimSpa” …drumroll… “What are the three things that will be found in Anna Nicole’s body other than a box worth of Ding-Dongs.” “Hi oh!!!”
I’m about as shocked to hear this news as I was when Rosie O’Donnell said she was gay. Right? Who would have possibly thought that Anna Nicole, who spent the majority of the last 6 years slurring her words and weighing more than a baby elephant, would be someone that has an addictive personality and might kill herself one day? Shocking. Next your going to tell me that some day Britney Spears will get fat and ugly? Well, your wrong dude. That hot peice will never look like she swallowed a VW Beetle!
Pops From Dirty Work Is Dead

If you haven’t seen the movie Dirty Work you should. It brilliantly stupid. Its one of my favorite movies with Norm MacDonald, Artie Lange, and the recently deceased Jack Warden. Sadly Jack Warden died recently and its too bad, he plays the dirty old man that I dream about being one day.
Oh yeah, he was also in some movie called All The President’s Men. I’ve heard good things, but its no Dirty Work.
Later Jack!

Would Someone Really Video-Blog Their Own Death?
Kevin Krutz was a video blogger. Kevin Krutz died recently and it so happened that is friends that found him happened to have a video camera on hand. His friends then posted the video of Krutz, with the consent of his family, to his blog. So what do you think, is this the real deal? Do you think someone would really post the video of finding their friend dead on the web? And if so, would his parents condone it? I’m not sure I by it 100%. From the looks of Krutz’s other videos he has/had a thing for the slightly disturbed. So “faking” his own death might not be all that out there for this guy.
Ok, lets say its real for the sake of argument. How far do we think people would really take their blogs? How many people would die and write a final note with instructions to post it up as a final post on their blog? Or how many people would want something like this video to be posted on the web once they kick the bucket and move on to the big Heaven 2.0? I bet more people than you would think would do such a thing and I bet more than you think already have. Its not exactly something I’m down with, but an interesting topic.
Here’s a direct link to the video. If you want to see it, hurry, I think its already in the Digg queue. Also, there is strong language, and well a guy kinda / maybe dies in it, so its obviously Not Safe For Work. Frankly if a tit somehow made in the video it would be on the list of all time Not Safe For Work videos.
