Hotel Bed Jumping

If a group of people were jumping on hotel beds and then taking mid-air pictures of each other in the 70′s no one would have known. Thank god we don’t live in those dark ages. Makes your brain hurt thinking about it doesn’t it? If you really want to freak out, try thinking about where the hell they got their porn from back then. Sure there was TV I guess, but this season’s blonde roommate on Three’s Company can’t hold a candle to one simple search for “sluts” on any bittorrent. Anyway, since we do live in the futuristic present, check out www.bedjump.com where, you guessed it, you can see pictures of people jumping on hotel beds and taking mid-air pictures of themselves.

Be happy that you live in such modern times.

1971 Drunk and Slutty Broads

No, I’m not referring to the going-ons of my apartment on Friday nights, I’m referring to the most wonderful Flickr image collection on the planet. For a good time, check out BinkyBoodle’s flickr page. I have no idea where he got all of these pictures, but if I had to guess, I would say my dreams.

I haven’t even had a chance to really pour through these pictures. I started too, but then I realized I’ve wasted an hour of work while looking at these pictures on my large easy to see screen…and thats when I noticed that at some point I took my pants off. What I’m trying to say if there are one or two particularly awesome pictures you find, please post links in the comments for the betterment of everyone’s day.

Flickr Goes Gamma?

Am I crazy or did Flickr go from beta to gamma in the last few hours? On this page of some unwrapping photos of the new black MacBook, check out the new logo (also pictured at right) and the new and MUCH needed search field at the top right.

Did this happen a while ago and I never noticed it? Are the only new features the cosmetic ones listed above? If there are more features, what are they? Gamma? Are they serious? Has anyone seen one my socks…the good ones with the elastic in the middle…I can’t seem to find it?

Flickr Babes and Games

Flickr keeps getting better and better and all of the new great things aren’t even made by Flickr. Two of my new favorite Filckr additions are fastr and FlickrBabes

Fastr is a great game that pits you against the other users at currently at the site. The game is images that are slowly displayed on the screen and the users much each guess at what the common tag that is shared by all of the pictures. Its a fun, extremely addicting game. Be warned: Don’t start playing this at work.

FlickrBabes isn’t much of a “service”, and its not exactly “Web 2.0″…but it is fun. These guys just crawl flickr and pick out the “babes” and post them on their site. Simple and effective. How can you not love it? They even make sure to tell the user that posted the original image by leaving their tag in the comments telling the user that this picture has been found by FlickrBabes. Nice touch.

Flock Is Nothing New

Origionally I was planning to author this post through the new buzz-making browser flock execpt that I can’t get it to accept this sites admin system. So right away, I find something that is broken. It is, after all, a “developer release” so some broken features are to be expected. But now that I have left Flock to the greener, more stable, pastures of Firefox, let me fill you in on what Flock is.

First, what is it supposed to be? Flock is being billed as a web browser for “today’s internet”. HTe internet has changed in recent years and we need a new, more connected browser. For instance, Flock hooks your bookmarks up to the social bookmarking site del.icio.us, they have a mini-bowser built it so one may traverse the popular, and recently often broken, photo site flickr and it will someday allow you to post to your blog via the browser (though aparently not today).

So what is Flock in reality? Firefox, which what Flock is based off of, with a bunch of cool extensions baked in. Will Flock change our world? Nope. Is Flock something we really haven’t seen yet? Not really. And lastly…is Flock even worth downloading and checking out? Sure, why not. Though I would wait for the next release.

Is flickr Down?

Where did flickr‘s functionality go? Their site is up, but searching for any type of tag is not currently working and its breaking my website. Think of all the crunchy flickr junkies/hippies that are crying right now because they can’t upload their latest picture of them blowing a pot-smoke ring in their dog’s face?! Oh the horror…

Damn you flickr, damn you for making me get into my site’s code today.

Update #1: Now their site is down.
Update #2: Its back up, but still doens’t work. This will be the last update.

New Flickr Image Counter

Look right. Not that far…look to right of the page.

What I’m trying to get you to look at is the new counter I put on the side there. Like it says, it counts the number of flickr photos that have been tagged with “hellyeahbitch.com”. Why am I doing this? Mainly I thought it could be a useful way for all to share something stupid or odd or whatever. You have a photo of something weird, fun, stupid, or even a hot girlfriend just tag it with “hellyeahbitch.com” and bam, the counter will change and we can all have a good time. Although I’m sure no one other than I will do this, I do intend to, and have tagged all my photos appropriately…so at least one person will be helping move the counter.

The second reason is that I needed a break today at work from the web project I’m working on right now, so the 15 mins it took for me to play with the flickr API was a nice break. Next time I need a break I’ll work with it and add a few more features.

Have fun. Take pictures. Tag them with “hellyeahbitch.com”. Feel good for sharing.

Play Memory With Filckr Images

Looking for a new flash game to waste your time with? I have one for you.

memry is memory with images from flickr. Nothing that special, but it is remotely more fun that regular memory. Mainly because you can enter in a tag so that the images you are playing with can be ever so slightly of your choosing. You can try to get some of your own images to come up (if you select the 6×6 square and use the tag: “cardinals” the picture of the really cheesy nacho is mine.) or just try to find some randomly fun images to play with (“sexy” worked well). Sound fun? Just try it out, because frankly, if you were that busy you wouldn’t be reading this in the first place.
