Things I Want To Do in 2007
Posted on January 11, 2007 by Mike
10. Make it easier for people to see our archives.
9. Have at least 2 more “famous” people leave comments on the site. So far we have Perez Hilton, and ANT, so we have the “famous and gay” quota down pretty good. Although if this is going to be the site for gay celebs to hang out and comment, the more the merrier!
8. Be invited to join in a round table discussion on someone’s podcast. It can be about anything, baseball, gossip, technology, blogging…I just want to be a guest on a podcast.
7. Do something special for our 4th birthday. Its February 17th by the way…and we are partial to The Magic Bullet…I’m just saying.
6. Create and post more original video content. Something tasteful…that involves night vision. Maybe I’ll give Paris a ring.
5. Fill more space on this site by creating more articles that just involve some silly list.
4. Break 1,000 comments.
3. For once, find a really good fish stick.
2. Give said fish stick to someone that likes fish sticks.
1. Party with these chicks.
Questions I’m Currently Pondering
Posted on February 7, 2006 by Mike

1. Why does Dreamhost decide have an issue with our hosting the second before I click “Save” in Movable Type?
2. Does anyone else think that cartoon girl in the esurance commericals is kinda cute?
3. I know Kelly Kapowski was always thought to be the hottest Saved By The Bell girl, but I’m really thinking Lisa might be a little cuter.
4. Now that there is a 1 GB iPod Nano out, does this mean the end for the Shuffle? I kinda wanted a Shuffle for a 2nd iPod.
5. Judging by their latest cover story, I think I should start reading Vanity Fair more.
6. Maybe I should start watching Lost.
7. I think I’m going to go to Quicktrip and get one of their (horrible for you) egg and sausage biscuit sandwiches.
8. Maybe I should write something on this site that isn’t as inane and boring as this list.
9. Now that the “Blog World” is doubling every 5.5 months, does having your site for 3 years make you an old fart at this stuff?
10. Seriously, I’ll write something interesting…after I go get that Quicktrip breakfast sandwich.
Top 5 Secret Crappy Songs I Love List
Posted on November 4, 2005 by Mike
A few days ago, I was outed by my girlfriend on the identity of one of my “Top Secret Crappy Songs That I Love List” in the comments on Dan’s Last.fm article. We all have our list. Admit it. Everyone of us has a small list of songs that we know suck ass…be we love them. We always listen when they come on the radio, we have them tucked away on our iPod under a fake name, and we might even sing along to them if we are in such a mood. Sure it stung at first having one of my songs laid out there for the world, but then the pain subsided, and after I threw darts at a picture of her head for a day and a half, I have now come to terms with it. In fact I’m way past “coming to terms with it”, I’ve not only come to terms with it, but I’ve also held its hand, grab its butt once or twice, and after this article, I might just have scored with it.
Here’s the deal: I’m going to put my list out there. I’m laying my “Top 5 Secret Crappy Songs I Love List” right out there for the world to see. Why 5? Well you have to pick a number…how lame is a Top 7 list? When you read something like that, your brian just treats numbers 6 and 7 as honorable mentions anyway. If you aren’t going to 10, then you have to scale back to 5…I’m not sure thats a real rule, but it should be. After I put this list up I urge everyone to come out of the music closet and announce their own top 5 list, either in the comments, on your own site, or how about just someone in the room with you. Its ok, we all know not to judge you by your list. This is a list of songs you shouldn’t like, but do. If it makes you feel better list your Top 5 Songs You Are Proud To Love along with the other list.
See the list after the break…
CNet Releases Top 100 Blog List, and Leaves Us Off
Posted on October 7, 2005 by Mike
CNet is buying in to the latest craze started by the CEO of the WIN blogging network and one of the newest AOL employees, Jason Calacanis. He called for a better list of the top blogs than the one and only (and crappy) list Technorati threw out at the time. Well now everyone is making lists, and CNet is the latest. Why does it sound like I don’t care? Its because I don’t. Everyone’s list is the same: BoingBoing, Engadget, Kottke…blah blah blah. Now if they put Hell Yeah Bitch! .com on there, then I would care. Oh wait, execpt for the fact that I really don’t like being considered a “blog”…it just feels too trendy. So I guess I really don’t care either way.
Note: I did notice Kevin Rose’s blog was on CNets list, which I find odd because he hasn’t updated since September 16th. Surely there must be a better blog to put on the list than his!
